  5. Purpose
  6. -------
  7. PVLIB  was created to provide a standard set of C  library  func-
  8. tions to simplify coding of programs which create scene files for 
  9. DKB Trace and/or POV Trace.

  12. Description

  14. The PVLIB library was written in Microsoft C.  However the source 
  15. should  be straight ANSI C, and you should be able to create  the 
  16. library for other compilers with the source provided.

  19. Usage
  20. -----
  21. Refer  to  the file PVLIB.REF for data  structures  and  function 
  22. descriptions.   No  data is passed directly to  PVLIB  functions, 
  23. data  structures  are used to provide variables utilized  by  the 
  24. main  program and the PVLIB functions.  A sample program  is  in-
  25. cluded  which (hopefully) illustrates the use of pointers to  the 
  26. PVLIB  data  structures.   Also,  the  PVGEN  program  (look  for 
  27. PVGEN10.ZIP on this BBS) utilizes the PVLIB library, and examina-
  28. tion of the code might be helpful.

  33. PVLIB  is copyrighted, however permission to freely use  the  li-
  34. brary  is given.  Please include a copyright notice in  any  pro-
  35. grams which utilize this library, i.e. "PVLIB Copyright (c) 1992, 
  36. Robert Cleere".  Additionally, the library (excluding the source) 
  37. and  associated header file may be included with  programs  which 
  38. utilize the library.
